History of Black seed

Cultivation of Black Seed has been traced back more than 3,000 years to the kingdom of the Assyrians and ancient Egyptians. A bottle of Black Seed OIL was found in the tomb of King Tutankhamen, implying that it played an important role in ancient Egyptian practices and rituals.

Black Seed was a vital ingredient in many Egyptian dishes. Physicians of the pharaohs used the seeds as a digestive aid after opulent feasts and as a remedy for colds, headaches, toothaches, infections, inflammatory disorders and allergies.

Black Seed OIL has been the beauty secret of many women since ancient times.

Queen Nefertiti was an avid user of Black Seed OIL and was praised for her exquisite complexion. A Greek physician of the 1st century, recorded that Black Seed were taken to treat nasal congestion and intestinal worms. They were also used as a diuretic to promote menstruation and increase milk production. Hippocrates regarded black seed as a valuable remedy in hepatic and digestive disorders and a variety of other conditions. Pliny the Elder was said to have applied the paste of crushed black seeds, vinegar and honey to snake bites and scorpion stings.

Ibn Sina (980-1037), known for his volume, the Canon of Medicine (regarded as one of the most famous writings in the history of medicine) holds the Black Seed in high esteem and refers to it as the seed that stimulates life.

Arabic prophetic references describe BLACK SEED as having the cure for all illnesses. This bold statement is not as exaggerated as it at first appears. Recent research has provided evidence that most illnesses arise because of an imbalanced or dysfunctional immune system and indicates that Black Seed contains the ability to significantly boost the human immune system when taken over time.

Black Seed has been traditionally used in the Middle East and Asia for centuries to treat numerous ailments including bronchial asthma and bronchitis, rheumatism and related inflammatory diseases. Black Seed OIL has been used to treat skin conditions such as eczema and boils, to purge parasites, and to treat shigellosis and ulcers of the mouth.
